It hasn't taken long for a star to emerge from Wattle Bloodstock's graduates in the shape of stunning sprinter BOLD THRUSTER (4g Turffontein x Aelia Capitolina).
A $82,000 purchase from Bucklee Farm’s draft at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale for the Tivic Stable, Bold Thruster has won nine of his 16 career starts in Singapore and over S$800,000 in prizemoney.
Bold Thruster is one of the highest rated (107) racehorses in Singapore thanks to five stakes victories; 2018 Singapore Group 3 Saas Fee Stakes, 2019 JBBA Singapore Three-Year-Old Sprint, 2019 Rocket Man Sprint, 2020 Fortune Bowl and 2020 Silver Bowl.

Wattle Bloodstock's Peter Twomey has been busy advising clients at auctions and purchasing tried horses privately over the last two years and those young products are hitting the racetrack with plenty of promise.
A few racehorses to keep an eye on in 2020 include:
ARAMAAYO (4g Poet's Voice x Peruvian) - Purchased privately at the end of his three-year-old year in Australia which included victory in the Group 3 NJC Spring Stakes (1600m) and second placing in the Group 1 ATC Spring Champion Stakes (2000m), Aramaayo is being aimed at the Singapore 4-year-old Challenge culminating in the $1,000,000 Singapore Derby over 1800m. The Aramaco Stable owned gelding is trained by Shane Baertschiger.
PAX ANIMI (4g Rebel Raider x Geology) - Wattle Bloodstock purchased the gelding privately for trainer Cliff Brown after a 2.5L maiden win at Ballarat last year when raced as ‘Cat Raider’ in Australia. He swept into Singapore Derby calculations with a smashing win over 1400m in February 2020, before a luckless run in the Steward's Cup. We are hoping for better luck in the Derby for Cliff and owners, the Buffalo & Nick Johnston Stable.
PLONKA (4g Epaulette x Loving New) - Selected and purchased for owner Greenhaven Park Stud for $85,000 out of the Inglis Ready2Race Sale, Plonka is trained by Warren Gavenlock at Coffs Harbour. The gelding won the $150,000 Northern Rivers Country Championships Qualifier in February 2020, before a courageous third in the $500,000 NSW Country Championships Final at Randwick on Saturday 4th April 2020.
BLUESTONE (3g Hallowed Crown x Rip Trice) - Purchased for trainer Cliff Brown for $40,000 at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, Bluestone quickly asserted himself as a promising young sprinter winning his first two starts in Singapore. The gelding finished 5th in the Singapore Group 3 Saas Fee Stakes at the end of 2019, then opened his 2020 campaign with an impressive victory on the 1st February. The gelding is being aimed at the rich 3YO Series at Kranji.
CELAVI (3f Fighting Sun x In Harmony) - Purchased for $100,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs In Training Sale, Celavi sent plenty of tongues wagging with her three length debut win in Singapore in October 2019 before two honourable defeats behind top 3YO Inferno. Celavi returned in 2020 with an easy three length victory over 1000m on 6th March. The filly will be aimed at the Singapore 3YO Challenge in mid-2020 by trainer Michael Clements.
BEAUTY RUSH (4g Helmet x Syncopated) - Purchased privately from Godolphin after winning at Group 3 level in Melbourne. The gelding entered the Hong Kong stable of John Size and has taken time to adjust to racing at Sha Tin. He saluted at over 1400m for the Beauty Stable in early 2020 and can hopefully go on with the job now in Hong Kong.
BEAUTY SPARK (4g All American x Bubbly Duchess) - Purchased privately after winning his first two starts in Victoria with trainer Peter Morgan. He's been a model of consistency around Happy Valley in 2020 with seven consecutive Top-3 finishes around the city track for Frankie Lor and the Beauty Stable.
SEA OF LIFE (3g Sebring x Life On The Edge) - Recent private purchase from Stuart Ramsey after two wins and three placings early in his Sydney racing career under John O'Shea. The up-and-coming gelding flew up to Hong Kong in May 2020 where he joins the stable of HK Derby winning trainer Francis Lui Kin-wai.
Wattle Bloodstock was active across the 2YO Sales at the end of 2019 and has hit the ground running in 2020 with seven Lots secured across yearling sales at the Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne to date.
Peter will be attending the other major Australian yearling sales this year including Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale Round 2 and the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale.
